Advertorial policy

Advertorial Policy

Emergency Water Source does not publish paid articles. This page explains how we earn money, how anything paid is labelled, and what we will never accept.

Effective 6 October 2026Next review October 2027

No paid articles

Emergency Water Source does not publish advertorials, sponsored posts or any article that a company has paid for, written or approved.

Every page is planned, researched and written independently, and no manufacturer or retailer reviews a page before it is published. Nobody can pay to be included in a comparison, to be ranked higher, or to have a page say something about their product.

How the site earns money

Emergency Water Source earns from affiliate links, and it may later show clearly labelled display advertising.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on some product pages; the price you pay does not change. Those links appear only after the guidance on a page and are explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. If display advertising is added, it will come from an ad network such as Google AdSense, chosen by the network rather than by us, and it will follow the rules below.

How anything paid is labelled

Anything on Emergency Water Source that earns money is identified as such and kept separate from the guidance.

  • Affiliate links are disclosed near the top of the page and marked as sponsored in the page code.
  • Display ads, if added, are labelled “Advertisements” and placed between sections only: never inside a calculator, a table, a safety note or a list of steps, and never made to look like part of the page.
  • Product pages state who each option is wrong for, including the expensive options.

What we never accept

Emergency Water Source does not accept payment, free products or favours in exchange for coverage.

  • Paid placement in comparison tables or recommendations.
  • Payment for links, or paid guest posts.
  • Free or discounted products in exchange for a review.
  • Advertising that uses fear, false urgency or countdowns, or that makes water-treatment or safety claims; these categories are blocked wherever an ad network allows it.

If this ever changes

If Emergency Water Source ever publishes sponsored content, it will be labelled “Sponsored” at the top with the sponsor’s name, and this page will be updated first.

Questions about advertising, or a concern that something on the site looks like an ad and is not labelled, can go to a.ijoe147@gmail.com.

Effective 6 October 2026. Next review October 2027. When our practices change, this page changes, and so does the date above.
